Water helps to regulate our body temperature, aids in the in the digestive process and makes all necessary bodily fluids. Water is the most important substance we can take in because it covers so many different functions. Water sustains our lives.

Why drink ionized water?

Here are three reasons why:

First of all, ionized water is a powerful liquid anti-oxidant that is easily absorbed into our body. The water neutralizes free radicals. Free radical damage causes us to age faster and is largely responsible for many diseases, including cancer.

Secondly, ionized water is alkaline water, which maintains and balances our body PH. A proper body PH is on the scale between alkaline and acidity at 6.9 to 7.2. This PH creates an environment which deters bacteria, inflammation and disease.

Thirdly, the molecular structure of ionized water is smaller than that of regular tap water. Tap water clusters, which tend to have fluoride and other properties added, contain 10 to 13 molecules in each cluster. Ionized water has 5 to 6 molecules. reduce your carbon footprint

Here are a few tips:

Lower your thermostat by 1-2C in the winter and further (down to 17C) when you go to bed at night. Raise your air conditioning setting by 1-2C in the summer. Lower the setting on the water heater from 82C to 65C (180F to 150F).

Wash clothes in cold water. Hang to dry.

Turn off the water when brushing teeth.

Try wearing clothes twice before washing.

Switch to recycled, unbleached paper products, better yet use cloth.

Turn off any lights, TV, stereo or computer when they are not in use.

Recycle cans, bottles, plastic bags & paper. Read your paper on-line.

Try to buy local foods to reduce fuel emissions and energy transporting the food to the store.

Use re-usable cloth bags to carry the groceries.

Adopt a vegetarian diet to: be kind to other living beings; reduce production of methane gas; de-forestation of forests for cattle pastures; avoid food and water consumption by the range animals, rather than by people; avoid excessive energy & fuel consumption.

Note that the production of beef, pork, lamb and poultry requires more natural resources than the production of the equivalent in grains and vegetables. Choose efficiently produced foods.

Eat Organic. Organic foods are grown with less pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers.

Reduce Paper consumption by printing and photocopying on both sides of the paper. Buy recycled photocopy paper.

Choose energy efficient computers, photocopiers and printers. Turn equipment off when not in use; use a power strip.

Take the public transit. David Suzuki foundation quotes: "each year a single city bus can save 10,646 litres of fuel, reduce annual greenhouse gases emissions by 25 tons and replace the need of 40 vehicles on the road."

Carpool, bicycle and walk wherever possible. "transportation accounts for  almost half of toxic air pollution, more than third of greenhouse asses emissions, a quarter of common air pollution and almost one-fifth of toxic water pollution.
